Stewart on Ron Paul

Saw this somewhere and thought it was funny.

This is one of several videos lately in which Stewart spends most of his time aiming at the media instead of the actual politicians. Interesting change in targets.

Wow, I hadn't seen that.
I voted for Paul last year and will vote for him again.
As Stewart says, he is the only ideologically consistent candidate whereas the other Republicans are just "Moral Majority in Pointed Hats."
Paul is the guy who screams "the King has no clothes while everyone laughs at him.
Sure, this video was funny -- but to me it was deeply sad. I hold little hope for this country.

Spot on by Jon Stewart. I disagree enough with Paul that I too wish he wasn't part of the Republican conversation - but he is, and commentators have no right to make the call in advance, reading the tea leaves of whether they think he will be a factor or not. Not their job.

Stewart used to keep it at this level whoever he was skewering or defending. But his snark and condescension have descended farther into bigoted, rather than artful, sendups of others. He's a mixed bag now.
