It's the first time I've ever made real mac and cheese. I'm testing it out on my family before I make it again tomorrow for my sick father-in-law.
I'm not sure what message bringing a sick person food that could spontaneously induce a heart attack conveys.
Maybe something like this:
"If you manage to actually survive this meal, I hope that you'll get better!"

There is a new gourmet mac and cheese restaurant in the next town. This stuns me.
Yours is a gift of love. Homemade mac and cheese rocks. I'm still trying to convince my son, though. I'm not sure how he got exposed to the Krap version but like all 8 year old American boys, he prefers that to mine. (and by the way, people rave about mine so it's him, not my terrible cooking!)
I still remember with fondness and regret one restaurant that served 4 or 5 cheese mac & cheese studded with roasted garlic cloves. Regret because they closed and I never got the recipe, nor have I been able to duplicate it, alas.
