Hair....the Off-Broadway Production.

Here's me about 1.5 years ago:

More hair than I knew what to do with.  Enough for at least two other people.

Here's me after chemo:

What a noggin'!

I kept having visions of the chick in the first Star Trek movie who was taken over by V-ger:

OK...so, she's prettier than me and her head is much smoother.

Finally, I had some peach fuzz by the end of October:

By November I was rockin' a very thin, gray buzz cut.

Now, I have some nice helmet-hair with which I can't do a single thing, but which at least covers my head.

I look a little butch, but I'm not complaining.  I won't have to keep the hair out of my eyes when I run that 5K in February.

A few more months and I will probably have a nice little afro as my curly hair grows out.

I'll be sure to post an updated photo for comparison.

It grows back....slowly.

My hair has finally started to grow in.  It's grayer, thinner and still patchy in areas, but it's there.

Today I decided to be brave and venture out in public without a hat and do my best impression of Sinead O'Conner.

I'm trying to force myself to get used to it.  We are having family photos done this weekend and I'm going au naturel.....no hats, scarves, wigs.

Maybe I'll keep it this way.

I'll save thousands on hair care products.

My New Hairdo

When I took a shower today, 1/3 of my hair came out in my hands. I couldn't deny that it was all going to come out eventually. My sister-in-law came up and helped shave it off so that I wouldn't have handfuls of long hair constantly coming out.
Here's my new look.

I'm ready for Boot Camp, Master Sergeant, Sir!

Here's an unflattering photo of me with my gorgeous, size 2, sister-in-law.

She was so sweet to do this for me. She even brought me three beautiful scarves to cover my head...so as not to frighten the public. :-)

Me and my hair.
